Since 2019, the Government of India’s Jal Jeevan Mission has aimed to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections. As part of this initiative, numerous water tank projects have been constructed across the country, many of which have integrated Moment Grout Couplers as a key technology in their precast systems.

Leviat, through our Moment product range, has proudly supported these efforts by delivering robust connection systems that offer high installation flexibility, structural integrity, and a faster construction turnaround.

Our Moment Grout Couplers were selected for their proven reliability, efficient installation, and alignment with government goals to modernize infrastructure. These couplers feature a robust one-piece metal construction, accommodate large installation tolerances, and are available in both Half and Full variants.

Our products were used in several key water tank projects across India:

To date, more than 111,000 grout couplers have been supplied for these projects — the majority being Moment Half Grout Couplers — contributing to safer, faster, and more efficient precast construction.

For Engineers, our couplers are equipped with a ‘Bar Break’ system capable of withstanding up to 715 MPa of equivalent stress. They are fully tested to meet ISO15835:2018 and IS16172 standards, ensuring the highest levels of structural performance and safety. Additionally, we provide transition couplers to seamlessly accommodate variations in bar sizes.

In terms of Site Crews, our couplers offer large installation tolerances, making them ideal for applications with high variability, such as starter bar locations. Leviat also delivers personalised grouting advice through its experienced local partners. This helps optimise grouting methods to reduce on-site manpower and shorten construction schedules
